"Hooked on Jean" is a tribute to my dog, Jean, blending personal memory with creative fiber art techniques. The "wallpaper" is crafted from magazine pages featuring only dogs, created through a paper-making technique. The paw prints were molded from clay impressions of Jean’s paw, acting as a "stamp" for the wallpaper design. The hooks, made from concrete and plaster, are modeled after a hook in my home that holds Jean’s personal items, raising them from the wallpaper in a symbolic gesture of his presence in my everyday life.
